Katcha is a great hotel and we stayed in the family room with nice location to pool area. The only down side is the extremly expensive internet charge and not any free wifi zone in restaurant like most other hotels offer. Needs improvment.

Были в отеле с 8 по 25 января 2012 года. С маленьким ребенком 3 лет и беременной женой. Жили через дорогу, т.к. в интернете не было номеров у моря - на стойке были. Отличное место для семейного отдыха - всем советую. Через дорогу номера новые - хорошая слышимость с соседними номерами - все номера двойные с дверью между ними - проблема в дверях - они видимо вообще не задерживают шум. Друзья жили в виле у моря - старовато, но приятно. Ребенок был в восторге от бассейна, пляж самый обжитой - кофешки, магазинчики, прокаты и т.п.

Resorten var fin med flotte uteområder, bra service men rommene var litt små. Beliggenheten var perfekt men litt mye støy fra naborommene trekker litt ned. Men kommer gjerne igjen men da blir det bungalowene nede ved stranden. Maten i resturanten var god og frokost buffeten var over all forventning. Det var mange barnefamilier og et flott sted å bo hvis man reiser med barn.

The breakfast was very good. We stayed at the Hillside wing and had a family room right by the pool which was excellent for us with three kids. The pool was very nice and not very busy at all. Small gym with okay equipment. Location was great if You want to stay in a busy area. Still do not understand why internet access cannot be provided for free considering the price of the rooms.

We did stay at Deluxe beachfront Villa, iT´S just at beach beside pool area. Only thing that behind the building there is a dump for rubish or something and you can get the smell of that sometimes. argh. and TOILET SEAT inside toilet, it look´s like someone take huge dump around it and never clean it later on. and the room service did not do nothing to clean it.

Very nice place to stay, but our room was so old and curtains was old and light color. The room was near information service and turn on the light the whole night, so I couldn t sleep well.

LOCATION MAP

The resort is located on Koh Chang island on the east coast of the
Gulf of Thailand. The distance from Bangkok is 330 km and takes about
4 hours by car or bus to Trat, the provincial capital. Driving time
from Pattaya City is approximately 3 hours. Bangkok Airways flies from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Trat twice daily with a flight time of 55 minutes. From there are three piers (Ao Thammachat, Centrepoint and Laem Ngob) with ferries leaving to Koh Chang on a frequent basis every day. The ferry ride takes 40 minutes to the pier at Koh Chang and from there the resort is just 15 minutes away on White Sand Beach (Had Sai Khao). |
